September 9, 2005 - Hincapie Parade Downtown Greenville
None of us knew quite what to expect with the parade and the organization of the event. We were overwhelmed with the commitment from the City of Greenville, the cycling clubs from all over the Southeast, the media coverage - and last but not least, the surprise appearance by Lance Armstrong.
Thanks to all participants - This was an event we will all remember for quite a long time!
Kudos to Stefan Gugel, Christin Schwarzkopf and Falls Harris for snagging Lance's autograph!
Thank you letter from George Hincapie
September 10, 2005 - Tour de Paws in Spartanburg
What a great ride! We all had a good time and the organization of the ride was wonderful!
Paws up for the Spartanburg Humane Society!
Michael Owens was the 1st BMW Cycling Club Member to complete the 28 Mile Adventure - Great Job !!!
Stefan Gugel was the 1st BMW Cycling Club Member to complete the 61 Mile Challenge - Excellent Job !!!
Both riders finished in their lead pelotons.
Thanks to all the riders that participated, check the photo gallery for pictures from the event!
September 24, 2005 - Tour of Hope
Riders - Christin Schwarzkopf, Falls Harris, Ingrid Harris.
Together we raised over $ 1000.
The ride was very challenging, but we finished the 65 mile ride with a 4 hours and 40 minute ride time.
(Yes, we hit all the rest stops!)
This was the most scenic of all the rides we have done so far, and would be an excellent club day trip, or an excellent training route for a century ride.
Tour of Hope Celebration Downtown Greenville Wednesday October 5, 2005
A big THANKS to all of the riders who participated in the first Greenville Peloton Project. It was a huge success and our fundraising
goal was exceeded. Thanks to you, the participants, the Greenville Peloton Project raised $30,000 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Thank you to you and your personal sponsors for making this event a premiere fundraising event in the upstate.

Greenville Cycling Classic Downtown Greenville Saturday October 15 & 16, 2005
On October 15, 2005 at 9am Stefan Gugel (BMW Cycling Club Member) participated in the Greenville Cycling Classic Cat. 5 Race under 34. Out of a full field of approximately 50 riders, Stefan finished with a commanding 2nd Place.
This was an incredible achievement given the strong field. Please congratulate Stefan when you see him.
